Prayer Guide – Week 03 (Oct 14-20)

Within Japan there is a culture where men are becoming more and more isolated and lonely. Many feel they could never share with anyone about what is going on for them- often feeling a deep level of shame and guilt.

Yet there is a movement emerging across Japan where Japanese men are developing deep friendships through mentoring and discipleship.

If God is doing this with a around 40 brothers now what may be possible in the future. Please pray for the catalyst that changes men’s lives and becomes the genesis of a movement to reach millions of men in Japan and worldwide. Hyperbole? It seems that what Jesus did with the disciples, and Paul did with his mentees worked fairly well!

Over the next year a few of us in this growing movement aim to train 500 men across Japan to be mentors. We believe that mentoring is the most effective way to disciple men.

Can you pray for:

• Japanese Christian men to come into deep, meaningful relationships with other men.
• Current Japanese mentees to begin to multiply mentoring and discipleship to other men in their circle of relationships.
• Development of leaders that can sustain a movement mentoring and discipleship both inside and outside of established churches.
• Pray for Japanese men to meet Jesus and see their families being transformed.
