We are focusing this week on Wakayama and Tottori Prefectures.
This heavily wooded region is steeped in traditional ways of life. Its inhabitants still maintain the traditional community system called miyaza, which requires families to keep close ties to their local temples. There is generally little openness to the Gospel in Wakayama.
Please pray for:
"No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him."
- John 1:18
Tottori Prefecture
Tottori is the nation's least populated prefecture. It is home to a very large fishing industry, while having the lowest agricultural production in Japan. Natural sand dunes (pictured below) are unique to this region and make for a very popular tourist destination.
The people of Tottori tend to be very conservative and dwell in tightly-kit communities. As a result, there is a relatively high number of Buddhist followers.
Please pray for:
"And He said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men."
- Matthew 4:19
This week we want to begin by celebrating and being grateful for all those around the world and across Japan praying for this nation. In 2021 over a million hours of prayer were made for Japan as the Olympics and Paralympics were taking place.
God hears our prayers. He is moving in response to them across Japan
Give thanks for all those praying on this 24/7 list, for those praying individually for Japan and for groups coming together weekly to pray for Japan both globally and here in Japan.
Keep praying for the forces of darkness being broken in this land. “The Son of Man came to undo and destroy the work of the enemy. I John 3:8.
Pray for the Kingdom to fall in power and unity. Pray for networks to grow across Japan who are willing to do anything to work together to see the Kingdom come.
Give thanks for the Japan Congress of Evangelism that finished 2 weeks ago. Pray that all those who attended and watched on line (2000 people all up) would know how to apply what they learnt and that God will speak to all those of what they need to do.
Pray for revival to come to Japan!
By installing a smartphone app called Echo, you will be able to use various functions that help you pray, such as reminder notifications.
